Pet-related programs at Avow Hospice were the beneficiary of “Distinctive Women & PAWS… Puttin’ on the Dog,” a fundraiser sponsored by the publishers of Distinctive Women Magazine. The event held on the Avow campus in June featured a pet and people fashion show, silent auction and educational presentation. Approximately 120 people, 20 dogs and one cat attend the event which raised over $30,000 through sponsorships, in-kind donations, auction proceeds and ticket sales. Mrs. Judy LeDoux, Simonsen-Hickok Interiors, Home HealthCare Professionals of Naples and Germain BMW were among the major sponsors. Fashions were provided by Queen Grace, GlamourPuss, Joseph’s Custom Clothiers, Fergie’s Closet Pet Boutique, Character Eyez and Salon International.
