The Promise Campaign is an opportunity for the Vineyards community to help fulfill the promise that is Avow – a caring refuge, a loving embrace, a final wish, a memory of someone dear, a celebration of life.
A core group of Vineyards residents have joined together to rally a response to Avow’s campaign by initiating a neighborhood fundraising effort. The Vineyards Promise Community Campaign for Avow Hospice is chaired by George M. Walters, Jr. George is a 10-year resident of Vineyards and has been a member of the Avow Hospice Board of Directors for 16 years. He is currently serving as Board Chairman.
Three Vineyards residents, Karen Barnes, Eric Kronen and Diane Stewart have joined George to form a cabinet to oversee campaign activities. Mr. Walters is also actively recruiting neighborhood captains to assist with campaign efforts in individual neighborhoods. Campaign captains will champion the Promise Campaign and, through a partnership with Avow Hospice, will help advance the mission of Avow through education and fundraising activities within the Vineyards community.
Vineyards residents who make a contribution or pledge to the campaign at the $500 level or above will be recognized as a member of the Vineyards Vanguard. Vanguard members are characterized by their belief in the mission of Avow Hospice and willingness to give of their time, talents and treasures in support of the Vineyards Promise Community Campaign.
