Avow Celebrates Hospice Nurses & Aides!

National Nurses Week kicked off this week. The nation honors the nursing profession annually from May 6, also known as National Nurses Day, through May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.  Did you know Avow has over 130 nurses and hospice aides on our team who work with patients of all ages 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.  Our registered nurses, LPNs and hospice aides care for patients in their homes, in facilities, hospitals, at our Georgson Hospice House, wherever patients reside.  Most of our nurses and hospice aides have earned or are in the process of obtaining special certification in hospice and palliative care for their discipline.  It takes a special person to work with terminally ill patients and their families… Avow nurses, hospice aides and their interdisciplinary team colleagues consider doing this work a calling and feel privileged to help guide families through the end-of-life journey.
